It is essential to visually inspect the pallet vehicle before loading any materials and to make sure the handles move smoothly, the pallet lift turns appropriately, and the jack is clear of any potential obstacles. Inspect the freight to make sure that there will be minimal opportunities for anything to fall off during lifting and transport. Discharge any air in the pump and drop the blades to the ground by squeezing the lever installed on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the handle. Run the forks into the slots in the pallet and ensure the forks are centered so that the pallets' weight is evenly dispersed.

Pump the pneumatic jack lever up and down to raise the forks from the floor. Discontinue pumping once the pallet is fully off the ground as there is no need to lift it any higher or risk losing stability while turning. In order to transport the pallet, haul the handle behind you; do not push it. There will be a large amount of momentum present. Avoid quick or sharp turns and don't stop too suddenly. Gently bring the pallet to a rest where you would like to park it. Squeeze the handle inside the grip end to restore the blades to the ground. Withdraw the blades and restore the pallet lift to a fitting parking area or continue onto the next job.
